中学英语常用介词点津

    介词(preposition)又称为“前置词”，多用于名词(noun)或代词(pronoun)之前。其主要传意功能(communitive funtion)是表示时间、位置、方向或方法，是英语运用中不可缺少的部分。由于介词的功能和用法千变万化，初学者在运用时容易产生混淆。但同学们如能用心地学习和多尝试使用介词，那肯定会提高英语表达能力。

    下面我们就按照介词的表意分类，分组介绍常用介词的用法：
  Talking about location （谈及位置或地方）。若要表示某事发生或某物所在的准确位置，可运用介词 on,in 或at。
  on 在......上
     i. 表示在平面之上
        on the floor/ on the table/ on the shelf
     ii. 表示在垂直面之上
        on the wall/ on the face/ on the shirt
     iii. 表示在某地理位置上
        on the island / on the peak/ on the beach
     iv. 表示在某一划定范围上
        on the estate/ on the farm/ on the campus
     v. 表示在交通工具上
        on a bus/ on a train/ on a place
 in 在
     i. 表示在某国家
       in China/ in America/ in Britian
     ii.表示在某城市或地域
       in Shanghai/ in California
     iii. 表示在某陆地
        in North Pole （北极）/ in Asia/ in Europe
  at 在
      i. 表示某建筑物/场所内
        at the restaurant/ at the airport/ at school
      ii.表示在某位置
        at the entrance/ at the center/at the corner
      iii. 表示某物体旁
        at the door/ at the desk/ at the window

     若要指出位置是在某物件之内或之外时，可以运用介词 in、within、inside(of) 或 outside(of)。
  in 在......之内
     i. 表示在大型的建筑物内
       in a shopping arcade（商场）/ in Ocean park/ in Exchange Square（交易广场）
     ii. 表示在某建筑物内的某单位或某地方
       in a cinema/ in a supermarket/ in the post office
     iii. 表示在某单位内的某房间
       in the classroom/ in the toilet/ in the office
  within  在......之内
     i. 表示在建筑物/区域之内
        within the flat/ within the building/within the country
     ii. 表示在非实际物的范围内
        within the area/ within the boundaries/ within the distrct
     iii. 表示可量度的范围内
        within ten feet of the house/ within walking distance/ within 30 minutes drive
   inside(of) 在......里面
     i. 表示在建筑物里
       inside the school premises（校舍）/ inside of the stadium/ inside the exhibition hall
     ii. 表示在交通工具里
        inside an MTR compartment/ inside a vehicle / inside a lift
     iii. 表示在密封容器里
        inside the pencil box/ inside the school bag/ inside backpack
     iv. 表示在非密封容器里
        inside the pocket/ inside the vase/ inside the plastic bag
  outside (of) 在......之外
     i. 指国家或地区外
        outside China/ outside Asia
     ii. 指某房间外
        outside the staff room/ outside the Principal's room/ outside the dictionary room
     iii. 指某建筑物外
        outside the Ocean Theatre/ outside the hospital/ outside the Space Museum
     iv. 指在受管制地方外
        outside the forbidden zone/ outside the controlled area/ outside private property
