1) A very noticeable trend in the later part of the last century is the marked increase in the number of high school students going abroad for college education. According to the chart, in 2000, more than 7% of high school students going abroad, compared with 2.5% in 1995. Why do more and more high school students turn to foreign colleges? 2) The primary reason is that the current college education can’t meet social demands. As almost all Chinese parents want their children to go to college, there are far more candidates every year for the places colleges and universities can offer.
